My Day at the Beach

Today I went to the beach with my folks. There were a lot of humans there and some dogs but really good news-no cats. I don’t like cats.  They are sneaky and their food stinks.
I was enjoying sitting under a shady umbrella watching the other dogs scratching and sniffing when a nice man and lady sat down next to us. They were carrying a huge, red, picnic basket that I was sure contained some yummy bean burritos.  How I love bean burritos!
I waited until the nice man and lady went into the water before I put my big, furry, paw into the basket.  Just as I thought, there were bean burritos inside and I managed to eat every last one of them.
The nice man and lady saw me eating their lunch and suddenly weren’t so nice anymore.
My folks packed up the umbrella and hurried me into the back seat of the car. I was quiet all the way home as all those bean burritos had given me a tummy ache.
I don’t think we’ll be going back to the beach anytime soon which is o.k. with me.  I’m still trying to get the sand out from inbetween my paw -toes.
